  ISTE CHAPTER

An ISTE chapter can be formed in any institution or a contiguous geographical area provided there are at least 25 members. The Chapter has to elect a Managing Committee consisting of a Chairman, a Secretary-cum-Treasurer and two or three members. Permission will be issued to form the Chapter on receiving the list of ISTE members included in the Chapter and the names of the members of the Managing Committee.

Chapters are very important units of the Society and they hold monthly meetings to discuss topics/issues of importance to technical education. Only one Chapter is allowed in an institution. However, it is desirable that two or more institutions in the same area or city join together and form a single Chapter.

BRIEFING OF THE PROPOSAL

 Activities expanded to net

We are proposing the  a student-oriented website with completely different dimensions.  The objectives of this site are much more practical and aimed directly to the immediate welfare of the students. If everything goes along as expected, the potential that this idea has can usher a sort of revolution as regards to number of members it can attract. Because most of its work is in the domain of much needed counseling and placement activities which unfortunately is not undertaken by any other organization as a whole, it will provide the aspirants with a common platform and seeing the tremendous placement scenario this year in our college, its formation can really be a boon for the Pecobians. The site readies the students for the changes emerging on the horizon and prepares them for the personal evolution needed for a prosperous future on a sustainable path. The endeavor will always be to create an environment that encourages informed analysis and dialogue, exchange of ideas and the expression of diverse points of view.

The ISTE PEC Site will also continue to work on ensuring maximum active participation of students during tutorials which otherwise record pretty poor attendance. The site will eventually aim to become a one-stop professional organization in the field of student welfare as it migrates from a membership-driven operational mode to a service-centric, community-driven architecture. It will continue to work diligently to keep our campus a welcoming place to work, study and supportive of a healthy interaction.
